This book is well written, good style It s easy to understand and covers a lot It should be an excellent book, but It is not Even though this 3rd ed is much better than the previous one, this book is still sometimes dangerous There are some explainations which are not correct and though seem to work and that makes them even dangerous 3 stars cause, as I told, it would otherwise be an excellent book.

C The Complete Reference is, prima facie, a brilliantly written reference to the C language, with abundant useful examples and illustrative diagrams The book is well set out, the print is clear and the book is, on the whole, well produced In fact, many have extolled its virtues and sung its praise.Unfortunately, this reference book is marred by inaccuracies Its description of the C language is on the whole or less there, but there are small errors here and there which detract from the value of [...]

I purchased this book after taking a 2 year break from coding I found that it was interesting to read and was very useful in terms of just remembering syntax and class concepts I wouldn t recommend it to someone just learning to program, or to someone who has significant experience But for the middle people it could really be good.

    4. None says:
The examples in this book are superficial While the author does cover every aspect of the C language, I found the coverage so condensed as to be worthless If you want a complete reference then buy Bjarne Stroustrup s book If you want a quick reference guide then buy one of the Dummies series.

This is the perfect book for everyone who either knows, or wants to know C It describes EVERY aspect of the new standerdized C WOW This book is practically perfect in every way The only problem was in Part II of the contents at a glance, it says that the book covers things like ISDN, Modems, CATV, Fax on Demand, Telephony This is very weirdwhy are 10 sections are displayed as some sort of communications book Who knows, either way, because of the small editorial error, the book is not quite perfe [...]

This is the best book for C C I have ever read Whether you re a beginner looking for a crystal clear explaination of C C , or an experienced programmer looking for a reference book, you CANNOT do without this book It is divided into two sections one for C, and one for C , and is updated with the very latest information This book is literaly worth it s weight in gold.

I bought this book hoping it would cover MFC in good detail Out of the 1000 pages, only about the last 300 cover windows programming This is a good book for learning the C C language, but if your main interest is to learn MFC, then get another book I also wish it came with a CD or floppy disk so one didn t have to type in the code.

    8. None says:
This book is easy to read It keeps the simple things simple, and has plenty of examples Having some of the authors previous books, I find I like the format that he presents the material This is a good book to have around for beginning to intermediate users, and could serve as your only book, if you are on a budget.
